Mimi’s Plum Pudding Sauce

Gwynne writes: "This is the crowning jewel of the Davis Family Christmas dinner."


  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 egg yolks well beaten
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon brandy
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream beaten stiff


  1. Stir sugar into beaten egg yolks.
  2. Beat in melted butter slowly.
  3. Add brandy.
  4. Fold the above mixture into whipped cream.
  5. Place HUGE dollop onto warm plum pudding!!!
